Eucryphia x nymansay 'Nymans Silver'

August

This is scarcely a tree yet; but what a beauty it will be. Our plant is still only six feet high, but the combination of cream-edged serrated leaves and white stamen-filled flowers is already a delight.

It appeared as a sport on a mature tree of E. x nymansay (itself bred at Nymans) in Nymans garden in Sussex in 2005. I have put it in what I hope is sympathetic propinquity to the similarly variegated Pittosporum tenuifolium 'Silver Queen' and white Hydrangea 'Annabel'. There is much to look forward to.
